The Beech Street Factory located at 341 Beech Street, Pottstown, PA is a mixed-use complex featuring 43 affordable, energy efficient apartments and the home of ArtFusion 19464 community arts education center.
In its heyday, the 60,000 SF circa 1912-building was the headquarters for Leibowitz Shirt Factory. It was the Fecera’s Furniture warehouse until 2004 and remained vacant until 2016 when a partnership of New York-based Housing Visions and Genesis Housing Corporation put strategies in motion to transform and revitalize the space with the goal to bring life, vibrancy and affordable residential opportunities to a neighbor plagued by blight. The project was funded by an allocation of tax credits from PHFA and grants from Montgomery County, state and federal agencies.
Large, sunlit one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments which reflect the historic character of the grand old building range in size from 800 to 1,400 square feet. Leasing is underway. For more information and rental applications, please visit www.housingvisions.org or call 315-472-3820.
